He picked out his clothes himself this morning. He didn't want to wear any of the new gear that we'd bought. Oh, well.
He even picked out the backpack himself. It's as big as him.
Off he goes!
When we got to the classroom, we met his new teacher and then he was told to pick out a seat. He chose to sit at a table with all boys. One kid had a Super Mario shirt and another boy was wearing an Urlacher jersey.
As we were leaving Dylan leaned over and initiated a conversation with the boy next to him, "hey kid" he started saying. I was very proud of him. No tears! No fear!
He barely noticed us leaving. (sniff!)
I can't wait for him to get home so that I can hear all about his first day! And to find out what homework we have tonight.

Wow. It seems like only yesterday that Letty and I tore over to the hospital a few minutes after Dylan was born. Where does the time go?? I can't wait to hear how he likes it. Love, Leslie XOXO
Thanks Leslie,
He liked it so much that he was ready and waiting at the door with lunch box and backpack in hand the next morning yelling at his parents to hurry up and get ready! :)
I LOVE that! Here's hoping that he continues to love it every day for the next 16 years! :-) Leslie XOXO
