Christmas Eve and Day

We had a great Christmas, hope you did too.

The boys helped me decorate Christmas cookies on Christmas Eve.

We also went to a party at Jenny's house. And Joe was able to catch up with Eric and Di who braved the drive from Detroit. It was a great party with tons of yummy food and really fun people.

Around 9 pm we came home and got ready for bed. Dylan was soooo excited and could barely wait for Santa.

We put out some reindeer food - carrots, and also some oats with "magic glitter" that Jenny made for us. I think the glitter helps the reindeer fly. We also put out some of the cookies for Santa and wrote him a letter. Just to make sure he didn't leave us any Barbie dolls (Dylan's worst nightmare). Dylan signed his own name on the letter. (Click on the photo if you want to open it up and get a better look.)

The next day we woke up to this:

I think Santa and the reindeer liked our treats. They were a tad messy though (Dylan said so himself). Santa left Dylan a letter, reminding him to eat his vegetables!

The kids enjoyed opening their gifts and got everything they asked for, they must have been on the "nice" list this year.

Later Christmas Day we went to Joe's sister's house. It was a jammed packed day.

Today the roads are iced over. Lots of road closures, and even day care is closed so looks like we are home bound.

We were planning to go to Joe's Grandmother's birthday tonight but probably won't because of the bad road conditions. And we have another holiday party on Sunday at Nana B's house! Thank goodness we are both off until January 5th. We'll need some R&R after such a busy holiday season.

P.S. Mommy got a COOL new digital video recorder. So there will be lots more movies and short clips on our blog. Thanks Santa!

Merry Christmas! What a fancy note from Santa! I've said it before: Y'all have the cutest little guys! I'm sure they were super excited about the holiday season and everything that goes with it. P.S. Matthew looked so adorable in the baby hospital gown!
